The Happiest Season of All

Christmas is 3 days away! And on the 28th is the 1st year anniversary of this blog!

If you’re like me, you own quite a few books. And if you’re like me, the thought of throwing a book into the trash makes your heart clench. So what to do with those books that you’d like to give up but don’t want to go to waste?

Why not donate? My public library has a biannual book sale with the proceeds going back into the library and are always looking for donations. There’s also the Salvation Army and Goodwill. You donate your books, they sell them and the money goes to a good cause.

Okay Ally, you say. I don’t have very many books and I’m not willing to part with them. Well why not buy a new book from one of these places? You get a book for a great price and your money helps people.

There’s a lot of little things you can do to give during the holiday season. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. All it needs is your heart.

Merry Christmas!
